IIIT Lucknow follows a comprehensive continuous evaluation system to assess student performance throughout the semester. This ensures fair and transparent evaluation of academic progress.
Evaluation Components
Mid-Semester Examination
Weightage: 30%
Conducted mid-semester covering first half of syllabus
End-Semester Examination
Weightage: 40%
Comprehensive exam covering entire semester syllabus
Continuous Assessment
Weightage: 30%
Includes quizzes, assignments, projects, and class participation
Grading System

| B+ | 8 | 70-79 | Very Good |
| B | 7 | 60-69 | Good |

| D | 4 | 40-49 | Below Average |
| F | 0 | 0-39 | Fail |
CGPA Calculation
Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) is calculated using the formula:
CGPA = Σ(Credit × Grade Point) / Σ(Credits)
Important Rules
- Minimum 75% attendance required to appear in examinations
- Minimum passing grade is C (5.0 grade points)
- Students can apply for re-evaluation within 7 days of result declaration
- Supplementary examinations for failed subjects conducted before next semester
- Academic probation for CGPA below 5.0
Examination Schedule
Examination schedules are announced at least 2 weeks in advance. Students can check their exam timetables on the student portal.
